Workshop schedule was amended for the following reasons:
Even though participants had already done a basic PDA workshop previously they needed additional tuition on effectively using Active Sync and Explore for transferring files.
Installing Active Sync and databases on PC and PDAs took longer than anticipated (however was important that the participants become comfortable with installing their own software)
Spent more time discussing features required for the SAL database and implications of using databases on PDAs (by road testing the logistics database participants had a better understanding of how the database works on a PDA and what their needs are)
Recording information on the wiki took longer than planned
Combined Mobile Technology and SAL project as lecturers are from same program area and the projects are after similar outcomes.
Will need to add another workshop at the end for the Mobile technology project (Workshop 3 will be for SAL participants to road test their database and Mobile Technology participants to see how databases work)
